Some people in America think the war in Iraq did not make us a safer country. I think it did because now we have more security and a less chance of having another attack like 9/11.
The war in Iraq has made us safer because if the war was here most Americans would be killed. Also if the war was here many people would probally be drafted into the army. Since the war is in Iraq we are not affected, but the Iraqiues are. The only american's that are affected by the war are the soldiers and their family. The American Soldiers are trained and use dangerous weapons. The soldiers use weapons like machine guns, grenades, and deadly gases.
America is also safer because the dangerous people are in Iraq. People like the Al-Qaida and Osama Bin Laden. The Al Qaida led had killed and wounded innocent civlians. Osama Bin Laden was the person behind September 11, 2001. The only time we were affected was on 9/11. The actions by the Al Qaida are in Iraq, and Osama only did one thing that affected us everything else was in Iraq.
The war in Iraq is dangerouss but the war will only affect the Iraqiues. The war will only affect Iraq because it is destroying there home. It is safe for the citizens of America that are not in the war because we have the soldiers protecting. Some of the soldiers end up dead because they are trying to protect us. All the killing and wounding affects soldiers from both countries, America and Iraq. If it wasn't for the soldiers risking there lives in Iraq then everyone in America would be scared to go outside.
In the end it all comes down to the fact that America is safer with the war in Iraq. It is safer because American citizens are not put in danger, unlike the Iraqiues.
